This year's PE and School Sport conference focuses on ‘Active Schools’. It will cover all aspects of being an Active School, from policy through to practical ideas that teachers /schools can use to increase the level of activity undertaking by young people.

This classroom based workshop has been designed to improve levels of confidence for those teaching swimming at Primary level.
A comprehensive resource accompanies the 3 hour training which gives delegates a broad range of ideas to improve the quality of swimming lessons leading to more competent and confident young swimmers, improved stroke technique and increased awareness of water safety.

Outdoor Adventurous Activity Teacher Training Workshop; journey through Michael Morpurgo’s Kensuke’s Kingdom

The practical workshop will provide teachers with the skills and knowledge to deliver either a series of OAA sessions or as an activity day on their own school site. The workshop has been designed to be a cross curriculum resource, demonstrating how all curriculum areas can be moved to the outdoor environment. Delegates will leave with a KS2, 6 week (6 hour) teaching resource, however staff will be advised throughout the day how to adapt activities lower KS2 pupils.
