Sports Leaders Competition

Do you think you could plan and create your own Virtual School Games Challenge in our Sports Leaders Competition? Closing Date: Friday 12th June

Sports Leaders Competition

As part of the Virtual School Games, we need the help of the amazing Sports Leaders in Northamptonshire to plan one of our weekly challenges.

The penultimate Virtual School Games sport will be Tennis and we need you to plan and record your own challenge which we can use in the official video.

What do I need to do?

This competition is open to ALL PUPILS IN YEAR 6 AND ABOVE and ATTENDING A NORTHAMPTONSHIRE BASED SCHOOL. To enter, you must complete two tasks

Complete a session plan

Just like any other Sports Leader activity, you will need to plan what you are going to deliver. You will need to think about:

  • What activity you want to do?
  • What skills does it help improve?
  • What equipment you will need?
  • How you can make it easier or harder?

Once you have thought of some ideas, you must download and complete the session plan template we have provided below

Record your own Virtual School Games Challenge Video

Once you have planned your session, you will need to record your challenge video.

This video will bring your challenge to life and will make it clear for all to see how to join in. Try to make sure you look at the camera and speak with a clear voice.

This video could be used in the final Virtual School Games challenge so make sure you follow these Recording Rules:

  • All videos must be filmed in LANDSCAPE
  • All video must be filmed in a well lit area (location is up to you!!)
  • You must be wearing your full school PE kit
  • You must start you video by introducing yourself and your school.
  • Videos must last no longer than 40 seconds in total
