PRIMARY SPORTS CREWS

A series of Primary Sports Crew Workshops will be held at Stanwick Lakes from 2nd March until 8th March 2017.
Priority will be given to Primary Schools that achieved the School Games Mark Award in 2015/16 or are now working actively towards School Games Mark 2016/17. To achieve School Games Mark Gold, a Primary School must have a Primary Sports Crew in place, in addition to engaging at least 20% of pupils in leading, managing and officiating School Games activity.
The Primary Sports Crew is a group of young people who join together to develop, organise and promote school sport and intra-school (Level 1) competition within the School Games. They should be great leaders and role models who demonstrate and uphold each of the six School Games values - respect, teamwork, determination, self-belief, honesty and passion.
There are a number of important roles to be fulfilled by the Primary Sports Crew, each requiring different skills. Examples include - Head of Crew, Media Leader and Competition Leader.
