Northamptonshire Healthy Workplace Week 14 - 18 May 2018

Now in its fourth year, Healthy Workplace Week has become an annual feature on Northamptonshire's calendar.

Healthy Workplace week aims to engage businesses from across Northamptonshire to get involved in various initiatives during the week to increase awareness, educate, inspire and activate employees to take care of their health and wellbeing.

The locally driven awareness campaign aims to provide businesses with ideas, activity, information and resources which can be used to help shine the spotlight on health and wellbeing in the workplace.

The key organisations driving the week are: Northamptonshire Sport, Northamptonshire Public Health, Adult Learning Learn2b Service, First for Wellbeing and the University of Northampton.

The theme for 2018 will be STRESS and RESILIENCE and we are encouraging businesses across the county to run their own employee health and wellbeing events and activities to tie in with this theme. National Walking Month

Did you know that May is National Walking Month? So why not help celebrate by organising your own walk this May and raise money for our life saving research.

This year, government figures show that 20% fewer people are walking for at least 10 minutes a week – a huge third of England's population. Plus, we still have fewer children walking to school than we did a generation ago and we want every child that can, to walk to school.

By taking part in Just Walk, you can help support the 7 million people living with heart and circulatory diseases in the UK. You can walk wherever and whenever suits you, and it's an easy way to fundraise for the BHF. Remember, every pound you raise will fund research that's so urgently needed to help us beat heart disease.

Join not join us throughout the month and track your minutes on the Active10 Walking Tracker app.
