The Northamptonshire School Games 2020 - 2021

Due to the ongoing restrictions in place as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, Northamptonshire Sport continues to adapt and amend the programme

Inter-School Competitions continue during Lockdown

As a result, some competitions have been amended and the competition deadline extended to the end of Spring Term 4.

The change will hopefully enable schools to maintain a level of flexibility and adaptability during these difficult times, while still offering a balance of Intra-School participation & Inter-School competition, accessible to Key Worker and Vulnerable children, in school and, opportunities for physical activity accessible to all, at home.

The revised Spring Term Offer now live

Did you know you can still view the original challenges that were set as part of the Virtual School Games programme last summer?

If you are looking for some fantastic resources to share with parents or utilise at school, the nine challenge videos can be accessed via the Northamptonshire Sport website and YouTube channel, with an accompanying set of resource cards.

The challenges cater for a wide range of sporting interests, such as Dodgeball, Gymnastics, Athletics, Boccia & Goalball, Cricket, Football, Basketball and Tennis.

School Games Framework

Live on your Dashboard now!

The School Games Mark Framework, which can be found on your www.yourschoolgames.com dashboard, is now live. We would encourage as many schools as possible to engage with this online tool. It is a very quick (won't take you more than 10 minutes) and thought-provoking toolkit to help schools identify focus areas for future PE, school sport and physical activity provision.

For more information and support, contact your School Sport Managers who are more than willing to assist schools to either complete the online survey and/or support them to reflect on their provision and work to address focus areas.
