Can you help make Northamptonshire Fitter, Healthier and Safer? What teenagers actually want

With the aim of developing their satellite clubs offer, Northamptonshire Sport conducted a survey in local secondary schools to determine what young people want from sport and physical activity. The survey was aimed at Years 9-13 and received responses from over 1,800 students across 28 schools.
To further test the survey's findings and to gain a deeper understanding of how to involve less active students, a follow-on engagement project was initiated. This took the form of a series of focus groups within local schools.
The full reports can be found here and should support Individuals, groups, or organisations when applying for Satellite Club funding in order to initiate a new opportunity for inactive-fairly active, local young people aged 14-19.
Using Satellite Club funding we can provide a start-up grant of up to £4,000 to support you with providing a minimum of 20 weeks of the club.
Priority funding for clubs working with Young people with a disability/long term health condition (including mental health), BAME young people (Black & Ethnic Minority, including those classed as 'White Other'), Young people located in areas of high deprivation and those with high levels of obesity, LGBT or Anti-Social Behaviour.
