School Gates Stroll Coming to Kings Sutton!

Northamptonshire Sport and South Northamptonshire Council recently organised 2 walking sessions which saw the local Kings Sutton walking group take children from Kings Sutton primary school for a healthy walk around the village while having a chat! The sessions which aim to link schools with the local community enables two very different generations to enjoy each other's company, as well as exercise.

Each walker was assigned to a pair of children from the school. Once paired, the leaders took the entire group on a 20 minute walking route finishing off at the hall where Youth Activators from South Northamptonshire Council hosted a range of games and activities for everyone to participate in, regardless of ability.

Then after a well-earned drink and biscuit break, the walkers chaperoned our children back to school.

After the success of the sessions, these will be replicated and is open to anyone from Kings Sutton who would like to take part in some gentle exercise. The school gates walking group will meet on the following dates: 17th May, 24th May, 12th July, 19th July.

The walk will start at 9:15am from the school and will aim to finish at 10:15am. From there, the children and adults will take part in a joint sport session either on the field or in the school hall depending on the weather. The session will be finished by 11:30am.
