Abbey Medical Practice Set Good Example for Workplace Health

Last week, Northamptonshire Sport and WDHA Table Tennis Club organised a Table Tennis competition especially for workplaces. The competition was open to all workplaces, big or small, to give people the opportunity to socialise outside of work while trying a new sport.

Equipment was provided and teams that haven't played Table Tennis before, or in a while were encouraged to take part.

Abbey Medical Practice, a Wellingborough based Doctors surgery entered 5 teams. Their teams consisted of Practice Manager, Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacist, Healthy Minds Practitioners, Reception and Administration Staff all having fun outside of a working environment.

When socialising with colleagues outside of work, it's all too easy to go for a drink. The competition provided a cheap alternative while giving participants the chance to go home with a well-earned medal!

Well done Abbey Medical Practice for setting a good example to your employees and patients.

Next up in the competition programme is the workplace Cycling competition on Monday 13th May, 6:00pm at Whilton Locks, Daventry. Workplaces can enter in teams of 6 and bikes can be provided if needed.
