Goalball UK Seek Players for their #FindTheNext National Talent Camp!

Goalball UK have announced their new campaign #FindTheNext supported by Sport Aid's Backing The Best programme. This campaign is designed to firstly find the next generation of England Talent Pathway and Great Britain athletes, but also to support domestic goalball players to reach their potential within the Goalball UK national leagues.

Goalball is a sport that can be played by anyone, but is particularly good for people with a visual impairment and it's those who compete at the highest level in the Paralympics. You can find out more about the sport and opportunities to play it on the Goalball Uk website.

#FindTheNext will be officially launched at the Goalball UK National Talent Camp in February 2019. There will then be three regional centres and regional competition dates providing high level opportunities to play goalball whilst working alongside Great Britain coaches and support staff. Further information on regional centres and competitions will be announced in 2019.

Nominations are now open for anyone with a visual impairment wishing to attend the #FindTheNext training camp hosted at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford. Places are limited and each nomination will be assessed on future potential to progress within the talent pathway or to progress within Goalball UK's national league. Players of any age are welcome to be nominated, or to nominate themselves, so if you think you have what it takes then please go to the #FindTheNext website and complete the application form.
