2017/2018 School Games Mark criteria released

The School Games Mark is now in its 7th year and continues to reward schools and other educational establishments for their commitment to and development of competition, school sport, physical education and physical activity.
School Games Mark is directly linked to a schools engagement in the School Games. This needs to reflect a board and balanced offer that actively encourages these young people that aren't currently engaged or who are engaged less often. this isn't about provision for a small cohort of young people but needs to consider ALL the schools population.
If you would like to know more about how your School can work towards achieving either, Bronze, Silver or Gold School Games Mark this academic year please contact Natalie Lawrence (n.lawrence@Northampton-academy.org). For those schools who achieved a School Games Mark Award in 2016/2017, we will continue to support those schools through Mid-Term reviews to ensure they achieve the highest possible award.
There are several aspects of the new criteria that are now yet available for schools to access - it is hoped that all functions will be live after the National SGO Conference in mid November 2017.
