INTERNATIONAL TEAMS ANNOUNCED – COUNTY PLAYERS NAMED

The English Indoor Bowling Association has announced its International Teams for forthcoming Series, and although no County women have been named, several members of the male bowls community have their call-up.

In the Junior International Team to play in the Series in Newport, Wales, on the 18th & 19th February, 2017, Connor Cinato, Kingsthorpe BC and Jamie Walker, Kingsthorpe BC, have retained their places, and Jamie's younger brother Danny Walker, Wellingborough BC, has been named as a non-travelling reserve.

Connor will play at No. 3 in a rink skipped by Perry Martin of Swale IBC, and he will have as rink colleagues, Jack Bird, Scarborough IBC at Lead and Jordan Philpott of Spalding at No. 2.

Jamie, in his last qualifying year for the Under 25's, will skip a rink which contains Jack Fairhall of Adur IBC at Lead, Jamie Barker of St Neots & District IBC at No. 2 and Bradley Coles of Watford IBC at No. 3. Jamie will also have the honour of being the England Captain in this Series.

In the Senior International Team to play in the Series in Belfast from the 16th to 18th March, 2017, Neil McKee, Jamie Walker and Andrew Manton, all Kingsthorpe BC, have retained their places in the team from last season, and Connor Cinato, also Kingsthorpe BC has been selected as a Travelling Reserve.

Neil will play at No. 2 in a rink skipped by Jamie Chestney, and he will have with him Martin Spencer of Spalding at Lead, and David Bolt of South Shields at No. 3.

Jamie and Andrew are playing on the same rink at No. 3 and Lead respectively, with the rink skipped by Sam Tolchard of Torquay United IBC, with Andrew Walters of Welford-on-Avon IBC completing the rink at No. 2.
