Campion Boys unbeaten as they reach School Games Level 3 Hockey

On Tuesday 26th April, Campion School hosted the School Games Level 2 Year 8/9 Boys Hockey competition where 4 teams from across South Northants and Daventry competed for the chance to represent the SSP at the School Games Level 3 Finals in July.

Teams from Campion, Sponne, Moulton and Magdalen attended the event and competed in a round robin with matches officiated over by school staff. In the first round of matches, both Campion and Sponne claimed 3-0 victories over Moulton and Magdalen respectively. The second round of matches saw Campion claim a 2-0 victory over Sponne and Moulton edge a close game against Magdalen 1-0. The final round of matches saw Moulton claim overall second place with a 1-0 victory over Sponne and Campion confirm their competition victory with a 6-0 win over Magdalen.

The School Sport Partnership would like to thank all of the children who competed during an evening which saw matches played in sunshine, wind, rain and even snow at one point. Special thanks are also reserved for the members of staff from the competing schools who supported with the officiating. We wish Campion all the best as they progress forward to represent the Partnership at the School Games Level 3 County Boys Hockey Finals at Moulton College on the 7th July.
