The FANTASTIC Coach Campaign was launched in October 2013, providing schools with a check list so that they can ensure that the coaches they use in their schools are appropriately qualified, suitable and safe.
The campaign is supported by high profile local coaches including; David Ripley, Jim Mallinder and Charley Hull and more than 100 schools have since pledged their support to the campaign.
Following the success of Inclusive Coaching Month in September 2014, we will launch FANTASTIC Coach Season in September 2015 for the following six weeks to promote the suggested minimum operating standards for coaches delivering sessions in schools! Training and workshops will offer coaches the opportunities to gain qualifications and information to ensure they are FANTASTIC Coaches and comply with the standards outlined in the campaign.
Courses will include:
Analysing Your Coaching - September 16th at Northampton Academy
Curriculum and Ofsted Awareness when Coaching in Schools - 23rd September at John Dryden House, Northampton.
The Fundamentals of Movement (an introduction) on 29th September at Wootton Community and Sports Centre.
