After the first Netball competition took place in February was over subscribed, on Monday 20th April five teams from workplaces in Northamptonshire represented their businesses and took part in the second Workplace Challenge Netball Competition. The competition was held at Moulton School, Northampton and was delivered by England Netball and Northamptonshire Sport.
Mercedes AMG Petronas, Friars Academy, Irchester Primary School, St Marys Catholic Primary School and Great Doddington Primary School all represented their workplace and took part in an evening of fun competitions against other local workplaces.
Friars Academy won the title, with Irchester Primary coming in a close second and Mercedes AMG Petronas taking third place. The competitions gave participants the change to play netball again, most of whom hadn't played since school. It also gave workplaces the chance to network with other organisations.
Kelly Walker, from England Netball said "the competition was a great success with good sportsmanship being shown all round. It gave teams the chance the take part in a Netball competition even if they hadn't played in a long time. It was good to see so many workplaces involved and everyone having a great time."
