Sywell hit the bullseye at Small School Archery

On Wednesday 11th February, 5 primary schools competed in an archery competition, held at Moulton School, to be crowned Daventry Small Schools Arrows Archery Champions 2014/15.

Organised by the South Northants and Daventry School Sport Parnership and delivered with support from Northamptonshire Sport, 27 children from Spratton, Sywell, Overstone, Staverton and Welford Sibbertoft and Sulby Endowed School (WSSES) took part in 4 archery skill stations, led by Sport Leaders from Moulton School.

Earning points for their performance in each event, children took turns to compete in Traditional Archery, Tin Can Alley, Jigsaw and Clout. Each school showed great concentration and determination to score as many points as they could.

The final resuts at the end of the competition were:

1) Sywell 408 points

2) Overstone 372 points

3) WSSES 329 points

4) Staverton 281 points

5) Spratton 262 points

Congratulations to Sywell, who have now earnt a place at the Partnership Finals on Wednesday 29th April, and well done to all the other children who took part during the evening. Special thanks also go to the leaders from Moulton School and parents and staff who supported and encouraged the children during the evening.
