Over the past fortnight, primary schools across the Daventry district have taken part in two High5 Netball Competitions, organised by the South Northants and Daventry School Sport Partnership, for the chance to compete at the Partnership Finals on Tuesday 24th March.
On Thursday 5th March, A and B teams from Brixworth and Moulton Primary Schools competed in the Daventry South Cluster Festival hosted and supported by Moulton School. Every pupil tried their best and took the opportunity to gain some practical playign experience. The overall winners were Brixworth A, who ended the evening unbeaten.
On Monday 9th March, teams from Clipston, Guilsborough, Badby, Staverton, West Haddon, Crick and The Grange competed in the Daventry North Cluster Festival hosted and supported by Guilsborough School. In an action packed evening of netball, there was evidence of some great passing and movement skills as the schools played fixture against each other. With final positions change round by round, it was the team from Clipston who emerged victorious, ending the evening unbeaten with 5 wins and a draw.
Congratulations to all teams who took part and thank you to all staff, parents and guardians who supported the children during the competitions. Special thanks also go to Mr Mitchell and Miss Boyer from Moulton and Guilsborough School respectively, and their excellent sets of Sports Leaders.
