Sainsbury's School Games Mark criteria released for 2014/15

On Thursday 9th January, Sainsbury's School Games released the marking criteria for schools wishing to be awarded with the School Games Mark for 2014/15.

This criteria sets out to schools all the different aspects of their PE and School Sport provision that will be looked at when applying for the mark when the application window opens on Wednesday 3rd June. Schools will then have until Wednesday 30th September to submit their final application.

All registered schools on YourSchoolGames.com are able to apply for the Mark. Further information is available via the school dashboard, the customised content portal for all schools logged in to the website. Additionally, a copy of the marking criteria can be found attached to this article.

Why should our school apply?

- OfSTED use the Mark award as part of their inspection framework

- You can proudly display your certificate, pennant and plaque (Gold level only) at your school

- You can use it as a development tool to aid the PE teacher or Headteacher as your school

- You can add the logo to letterheads and email signatures to show your outstanding commitment to school sport.
