Leaders: Is your coaching licence valid - have you forwarded your DBS certificate to UKA Welfare?

For your coaching licence to be valid you need to have a current DBS (formerly CRB) check. Your DBS check needs updating every three years.
The Government last year introduced changed the process for DBS checks which means that UKA, who issue coaching licences, no longer receive a copy of your DBS certificate when you are sent one. This means that you, should you wish have your licence being renewed, need to send your DBS certificate to UKA so they can see it and take the next steps in the process.
You can find out details of the DBS renewal process at www.englandathletics.org/DBS. If you wish to check whether your DBS check is up to date you can log in to view your profile at www.englandathletics.org/myprofile. By ensuring that your profile details are up to date here it also helps us to send you a reminder when your DBS is due for renewal.
If you still have any queries relating to your DBS check please contact the England Athletics Welfare team firstname.lastname@example.org who will be able to help you.
Please share this information with other coaches and leaders to help ensure that they too have a valid coaching licence.
