Spirit of the Games on show at Daventy North Cluster Multi-Skills Festival

On Thursday 23rd October, schools from the Daventry North Cluster were invited to attend the South Northants and Daventry School Sports Partnership's Multi-Skills Festival at Daventry Leisure Centre.

Over the course of the afternoon, 100 KS1 children from The Grange, Naseby, WSSES, Spratton, Creaton and Clipston all took part in 7 different multi-skills stations. Confidently led by students from Guilsborough School, children had to hop, jump, balance and throw their teams to glory.

With fun and enjoyment the focus of the afternoon, at the end of each station, children received stickers linked to the School Games 'Spirit of the Games' Values - Determination, Respect, Passion, Teamwork, Honesty and Self-Belief - before also receiving a certificate to reward all of their efforts during the afternoon. There was even a visit from Blaze, the Northamptonshire School Games Mascot, who came along to cheer on all of the children.

The Partnership would like to thank all of those who attended the afternoon and also reserve special thanks to the students and staff from Guilsborough School, Karen Risk - Northamptonshire Sport Coach, and parents and carers who all supported the event.
