Reporting directly to the Executive Officer, the successful applicant will be required to demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding (including adults at risk) and child protection, a working knowledge of the safeguarding legislation and the Government`s Working Together Guidance.
Experience of collating sensitive and detailed information and compilation of written reports and statements will be essential. Understanding of the culture and structure of football, and/or working with volunteers would be extremely beneficial but not essential for the role.
You will work very much as part of a team focussed on safeguarding. You will be expected to be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. It is important that you have excellent interpersonal skills and that you have the ability to positively influence at all levels.
This post is Full Time on a fixed term contract for three years with a view to it being extended thereafter. A job profile for this position is detailed in the document below. The successful applicant will be required to complete an FA enhanced Criminal Records Check with Children's Barred List Check. Whilst the role is office based you will be required to have a flexible approach to hours worked as these might include weekend and possibly unsocial hours. You should be in possession of a valid and current driving licence.
Should any applicant be currently associated with a Northamptonshire FA affiliated club in any official capacity, the Association reserves the right to ask them to relinquish that role should the application be successful.
