About The Rose & Castle Morris

We are a male North West Morris side that has been established for 42 years. Based in Stoke Bruerne, between Northampton and Milton Keynes. We dance a range of traditional and new NW dances. We are a very sociable group.

Rose & Castle are a very social group that likes to have a lot of fun while still taking our dancing seriously. It is a very enjoyable way to get fit. We are always looking for men of all ages who would like to have a go at something a bit different. Even if you are not fit when you start you soon will be as it is a very energetic form of dance

So why not come along at join us at one of our practice nights to try it our. There is no obligation and you might find that you like it. We meet at The Boat, Stoke Bruerne. Postcode NN12 7SB. Go to the "skittles bar" around 8.15—8.30 pm. Or go straight to Stoke Bruerne Village Hall where we practice every Wednesday from 8.30 until about 10.00 pm—then repair to the Boat for refreshment. You will certainly find a warm welcome. Note: in the Summer we sometimes dance out on a Wednesday evening instead of practicing, so after about May, give us a ring first to check if we are there that week.

This great English tradition can only be kept alive if men, especially young men, are prepared to take part. Once you join us you will discover the new world of the Morris. Many of our newer members regret that they did not discover it earlier. What you will find is that there will be a lot of fun and great camaraderie.

So why not contact us, pop along to one of our practice nights or come and talk to us when we are dancing out. You will receive a warm welcome.
