About Northampton Basketball Club

The club offers opportunities for all ages and all abilities to train & play competitive basketball games versus teams from Northamptonshire & the surrounding counties.
  • Cobras Ladies was originally a successful National League Team but withdrew from National Competiton because of financial reasons
  • The team continued to play making Weston Favell School its home court in 2001
  • The team has dominated competition in the Oxford & Chiltern League
  • The Pythons Mens Team & Vipers Junior Men Team were formed in 2006 as a result of a successful National Lottery Funded Project
  • The Rattlers Mini-Basketball Programme is run in partnership with the Northampton Schools Sports Partnership
  • Dynamos Wheelchair play in the National League currently playing their games in Wellingborough. They run junior development sessions and senior training at Weston Favell. The development of the juniors was supported by the local Network Fund. Development continues in partnership with the Northampton School Sports Partnership
  • Primary Schools outreach coaching provided by Awards for All funding
  • The Club was awarded Clubmark in 2009
  • In 2009 the Vipers were entered ito the under 19 Northants Central Venue League.
  • In 2010 the Cobras were unable to field a team to play in the league. This ended 10 years of continuous involvement in the Oxford & Chiltern League.
  • in 2010 the club entered teams in the under 12 and under 14 Northants Central Venue leagues.
