Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are ideal for anyone wishing to develop self discipline in order to improve their fighting skills. BJJ students are taught to control their emotions and actions. Ju-Jitsu develops respect, discipline, self confidence and fit

BJJ as known, has its origins in Japanese Kodokan Judo from the early 20th century and was originally developed from Japanese Jujutsu in the 19th century.

BJJ was begun in 1914, by Maeda, a Japanese Martial Arts expert. He was given the opportunity to travel to Brazil to promote "jiu-do" by giving demonstrations and accepting challenges. It was from this visit that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Martial Art was born.
