Daventry Dolphins Swimming Club is a friendly competitive swimming club located at Daventry Leisure Centre, Northamptonshire. We welcome swimmers from children as young as 6 years who reached Stage 7/8 of the ASA National Learn to Swim Pathway to those have competed at the highest level.

The Club also welcomes adults into the sport, through volunteering, coaching and officiating as well as participation in the Aqua (Masters) Squad.

Daventry Dolphins Swimming Club's vision is to: create an inclusive, vibrant, visible and viable swimming club with a structure that offers all swimmers of all abilities the opportunity to develop their skills and reach their full potential.

Daventry Dolphins Swimming Club currently operates eight squads providing a progressive training structure for all.

The Squads

Daventry Swimming Development Squad (Academy): These sessions are in addition to the Learn to Swim programme lessons offering an additional 1 hour swimming to get them to the standard for joining bronze

  • 6pm to 7pm for swimmers aged 6-8yrs who have attained stage 6 of the Learn to Swim Pathway.
  • 7pm to 8pm for swimmers aged 9yrs+ who have attained stage 7 of the Learn to swim pathway

Bronze: These sessions are aimed at stage 7 8 and work on skill and stroke development. Duration of sessions:3.5 hours per week

Silver: These sessions are aimed at Stage 9 and work on skill and stroke development. Duration of sessions: 4.5 hours per week

Gold: These sessions are aimed at Stage 10 and work on stroke development, skills, aerobic and speed work. Swimmers identified as having potential to achieve Regional qualifying times, based on attitude and application and have NASA County Qualifying Times. Duration of sessions: 6.5 hours per week.

Olympic: Target age 12-18yrs Performance Programme. Swimmers identified as having potential to achieve Regional qualifying times, based on attitude and application and have NASA County Qualifying Times. Duration of sessions: 10.5 hours per week.

Junior Aqua: Target age 13-16years. For competitive and former competitive squad swimmers who wish to maintain a level of general fitness or for Team galas / Masters Competitions / Open Water / Water Polo /Triathlons. Duration of sessions: 2 hours per week

Aqua: Target age 17yrs+ For competitive and former competitive squad swimmers who wish to maintain a level of general fitness or for Team galas / Masters Competitions / Open Water / Water Polo /Triathlons. Duration of sessions: 2 hours per week
