Delapre Couch-to-5K

Couch to 5K is designed for complete beginners, those who have never ran before or not for a long time. The 10 week course will gradually take you through a walk/jog programme with the aim of walking less and jogging more as the weeks progress. By week 10, you will be able to jog for 30 minutes continuously and be well on your way to achieving 5km.

Delapre Couch-to-5K

This coach led programme will provide participants with the encouragement, support and guidance each week and throughout the course. The group will meet every Sunday morning at 9.30am outside the Common Ground Cafe at Delapre Abbey for 10 weeks. The first session will start on Sunday 23rd January and finish on Sunday 27th March, with the aim of completing a parkrun as a group on completion of the course.

The 10 week course costs £20 (paid in advance) or half price for anyone being referred to the course from a Social Prescribing Link Worker (NB: A course booking code will be required).

The course will be led by Sally Gedney (qualifications include: England Athletics Leadership in Running Fitness, Mental Health Awareness, Adult Safeguarding, Inclusive Practice)
