IN LINE WITH THE SCHOOL GAMES CHARGING POLICY, PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT CARRIES AN ENTRY FEE OF £15 PER TEAM TO SUPPORT THE RUNNING OF THE EVENT.

Competition Outline

This competition is part of the South Northants and Daventry School Sport Partnership's School Games Competition Calendar for 2018/19.

Entering teams must consist of 4 children from Year 5 or 6 and all participating competitors/schools must learn the set routines outlined in the competition rules for judging at the competition.

Schools are welcome to bring along any Sports Crew Media Leaders to report on the event.

Competition Timetable

  • 9:30am Schools Arrive/Mats open for Warm Ups
  • 10:00am Teachers Briefing
  • 10:15am Start of competition - Rotation 1
  • 12:15pm Rotations completed - Results and Presentation
  • 12:30pm Schools depart

Competition Eligibility

This competition is a COMPETITIVE event. This means that there are no restrictions on the children you can involve in your team. They can be beginners to gymnastics or be competing regionally or nationally.

This competition is an OPEN ENTRY event and schools will be notified when they are able to book a place at the event, usually 5 weeks prior to the event. Places at this competition will be limited and offered to schools on a first-come-first-served basis. Schools wishing to be places on the waiting list must contact the SSP at the details below.

The two highest scoring teams will progress forward to the School Games Level 3 Competitive Gymnastics Finals, where they will compete against other teams from Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and Northampton. This competition will take place at Corby Gymnastics Club on Thursday 23rd May 2019 (Time TBC)

PLEASE NOTE THAT BY BOOKING A PLACE(S) AT THIS EVENT, YOU ARE COMMITING TO PAYING THE £15 ENTRY FEE PER TEAM, INVOICED AFTER THE EVENT HAS TAKEN PLACE.

Schools are permitted to enter a maximum of two teams into this competition.

Teams can include pupils currently participating at gymnastics clubs outside of school and may also be competing at a higher than club level.
