Meet the Girls!

This Girl Can is here to inspire women to wiggle, jiggle, move and prove that judgement is a barrier that can be overcome.

Meet the female stars of our local programmes who are doing what they do, and letting nothing (not even sweat) stand in their way! They would like to inspire and encourage others to do the same.

Liane (Cycling)

"What I love most about Breeze is sharing new routes especially hidden parks and cycleways that you wouldn't see by car. Breeze is the perfect social introduction to cycling for women and a great way to make new friends whilst enjoying outdoor fitness for free".

Cycling is a great form of cardiovascular exercise, low impact on joints and can be a very sociable sport. Breeze is the biggest programme ever to get more women into riding bikes for fun. Our aim is to help thousands more women feel confident and comfortable about going on a ride, alternatively check out our programme of guided rides.

Cathrine (Jogging)

"I feel a great sense of satisfaction from leading and supporting the 'Redwell Runners' beginners groups as I see non-runners turn into runners as they progress through the course surprising themselves at what they are really capable of achieving as they push themselves with the support of a great motivational group all striving to achieve together!"

Jogging benefits include mind, body and spirit. Ask any jogger and you will find they gain more from the sport than just fitness benefits. If you are new to running why not enquire about one of Jog Northants programme. We have beginner jogging groups across the county that cater for all abilities and fitness levels.

Fiona (Nordic Walking)

"Nordic walking is ideal for me. It supports my knee and foot injuries and allows me to get a good workout. Above all though it is a lovely social activity. I'm always surprised to find we've walked a couple of miles because I've been having a good chat and laugh. It doesn't feel like exercise"

Anne Marie (Nordic Walking)

"I decided to try Nordic Walking after suffering from neck and shoulder pain following a very stressful time at work. Since then I have never looked back. I no longer suffer from tension in my neck I quickly improved my fitness and felt more toned and loved it so much that I trained to become an Instructor and now have a new part time activity which I love as I am inspiring more and more people to take up this activity"

Why don't you get into pole position with a set of poles, your walking boots and group of friends! Our Nordic Walking programme offers something for everyone. Whats more you can burn an extra 20-40% calories than ordinary walking.
