Holdenby Duathlon Volunteer

Suitable both for novices and experienced athletes, this late season standard and sprint distance duathlon, including seperate 5k and 10k cross country run, operates from Holdenby House with the traffic free run confined to the surrounding Holdenby Estate and bike route through beautiful Northamptonshire villages.

Built in 1583 by Sir Christopher Hatton, Holdenby House was one of the largest palaces of the Tudor period and was prison to King Charles I during the English Civil War. The House is now a private residence and we are pleased to be hosting a duathlon event from this magnificent Estate.

Battlefield Duathlon Volunteer

Set in the heart of Northamptonshire, the Battlefield Run starts and ends in Naseby, home of the famous Battle of Naseby where, in 1645 Oliver Cromwell defeated Charles I in the key battle of the English Civil War. A duathlon is a multi-discipline sport similar to triathlon whereby the swim section of the event is replaced by a run, taking the format Run 1/Bike/Run 2. Duathletes can opt for a gruelling long distance, standard or sprint distance event taking advantage of the rolling Northamptonshire countryside and quiet country roads.
