Active People
The Active People Survey is the largest ever survey of sport and active recreation to be undertaken in Europe.
The first year of the survey was conducted between October 2005 and October 2006, and was a telephone survey of 363,724 adults in England (aged 16 plus) provides reliable statistics on participation in sport and active recreation for all 354 Local Authorities in England (a minimum of 1,000 interviews were completed in every Local Authority in England).
In line with the 2005/6 survey, interviewing for Active People 2007/8 started on 15 October 2007 and will continue for a full year.
