Partnership Services
As well as providing opportunities for young people to participate in the nine 'Active Sports', there are also additional services provided by Partnership Services.
Partnership Services are designed to develop Active Sports in a number of ways:
Sport Equity
Northamptonshire Sport is committed to the active participation of all sections of the community. In order to achieve this, Northamptonshire Sport has to ensure that all activities are inclusive, that people working in sport are provided with training opportunities to ensure they are familiar with the issues of sports equity and that people from groups traditionally less involved in sporting activities are encouraged to become part of the structures.

Coach Development
Coaches are central to the work of Northamptonshire Sport and Partnership Services enables Northamptonshire Sport to commit to the ongoing development of coaches and coaching.

Club Development

Ensuring safety
Northamptonshire Sport are committed to ensuring that the opportunities they provideare safe for young people to participate in. A Child Protection policy has been written for Northamptonshire Sport and Northamptonshire Sport will work with local clubs and coaches to ensure that the importance of child protection is recognised and that appropriate training opportunities are available for those interested in or already working with young people.
All activities must adhere to certain minimum operating standards and many of these aim to ensure that young people are safe. These include the use of qualified coaches to the correct recommended ratios, that all coaches are checked against the records of the Criminal Records Bureau, that coaches are insured, have an up to date certificate of attendance on child protection courses.
