Volunteer

The decision to volunteer might be one of the best decisions you ever make. Here are just some of the reasons people volunteer in sport:

  • Make use of and develop skills and experience
  • Give something back to a club, community or sport
  • Help others to enjoy sport
  • It can lead on to employment
  • Meet like minded people
  • It can be a lot of fun

Across the county there are lots of sports clubs, community groups and events that need volunteers to help others participate in sport. You don't have to be great at playing sport to be a valued sport volunteer. Go to the Opportunity Search to see the opportunities we currently have registered.

If you want to take up any of the opportunities or receive notification of future volunteering and training opportunities you can Register with Sporting Volunteers.

Are you already a member of a club? Talk to your volunteer coordinator about how you can get involved. They will be pleased to here from you no matter how much or little experience you have. If your club doesn't currently have a volunteer coordinator, register your club to recieve support including a free place on the Sporting Volunteers workshop.
