Local Infrastructure Organisations / Volunteer Centres
Local Infrastructure Organisations often known as a volunteer centre or a volunteer bureaux provide information on volunteering at a local level for individual volunteers and volunteer involving organisations. They have six core functions: Brokerage, Marketing volunteering, good practice development, develop volunteer opportunities, policy response and campaigning, strategic development of volunteering.
If you are looking for alternative sources of funding, the volunteer centres are great at pointing you in the right direction with a large database of funding providers. A list of some of the courses and workshops currently running at the volunteer centres can be found here.
