Become a Nordic Walking Leader

We are looking for volunteers to be part of our Nordic Walking programme and be trained up as Nordic Walking Leader. This will allow us to offer a wide variety of Nordic Walks and groups across Northamptonshire.

Nordic Walking Leaders Course

This course is suitable for competent Nordic Walkers and experienced Health Walk Leaders interested in becoming a Nordic Walkers. This one day practical course covers a range of topics including:

  • The role of the Nordic Walking Leader
  • Route planning, risk assessments & safety issues; and
  • When to refer to an Instructor

On completion of the course you will be able to safely lead other Nordic Walkers.

Duration:  5.5 hours

Cost:  We are offering FREE training to those who commit to leading a regular walk for at least 12 months.

Time: 10:00 - 15:30

Cost: £25 (This will be reimbursed once you have set up a group)
