Dance Leadership Level 1

The Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful candidates to lead small groups in simple dance activities whilst under the direct supervision of their tutor.

The qualification teaches generic leadership skills such as organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of dance. It is a fun and practical qualification with no entrance requirements or final examinations to sit.

Each candidate is required to complete 30 tutored hours, a practical assessment followed by 1 hour of voluntary leadership in the community. Candidates must be 14 on the first day of the course.
