County Youth Sports Forum
The County Youth Sports Forum has been set up to help steer the County Council's Youth Sport Co-ordinators programme and to give the young people of Northamptonshire a voice for the development of sport across the county.
The forum acts as an advisory group and participates in peer consultations within schools and local area youth provisions. It also provides young people with the opportunity to present their views, findings and ideas on sports development to local politicians and professionals working in sport, including members of the County Sports Partnership.
The forum meets every six weeks and has representatives from every district in the county.
The forum was recently awarded funding from the Local Network Fund to develop various projects one of which is to organise a sports event for young people in the Northamptonshire area. This event will take place at Kettering Leisure Village on Saturday 16th December. More information about this event is included on the events page.
