PART TIME SPORTS PROJECT OFFICER (Nottinghamshire)
Fixed Term Contract Until December 2010.
Community ProsperityScale 5 (30 hours per week)
£18,907 - £20,736 per annum pro rata
An excellent opportunity has arisen through the securing of European Social Fund monies. The additional funding will see the extension of the existing A Sporting Chance project’s work with 14 -19 year olds until December 2010, aimed at tackling youth disaffection through sports participation and leadership programmes leading to volunteering, work placements and in some instances paid employment.
- Do you have:
- At least two years experience of working with socially excluded young people in a leisure related setting
- Hold relevant coaching qualifications and have a keen interest in sport and recreation
- Experience of working with or within Further Education and a knowledge of issues surrounding youth disaffection and social inclusion
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, competent IT skills and a full driving licence are also necessary
- Experience of working in a supervising role
