Health Walks

Walking is great for your health and puts a spring in your step. With the Walking for Health programme, you can take part in a free short walk nearby to help you get active and stay active at a pace that works for you. It's a great way to stretch your legs, explore what's on your doorstep, and make new friends.

The walks are open to everyone and led by friendly, knowledgeable people, specifically trained for the job. Along with fellow walkers, our walk leaders provide all the advice and encouragement a you need to build fitness at a pace that's right for you. In just a short time, a small amount of regular exercise can significantly improve a your health, well-being and confidence. What's more we hear time and time again about walkers who made lasting friendships because of the social element of our health walks.

For over 12 years, the Walking for Health programme has helped thousands of people discover the many benefits of regular group walks. From reducing stress, to losing weight, to sharing laughs, Walking for Health has something for everyone.
