Daventry Sports Awards
Thursday 8th October 2009 at the Saxon Suite of Daventry Leisure Centre
Top sports stars from the Daventry district were presented with their awards as winners of the Daventry District Sports Awards.
Premier League football referee Pete Walton was special guest and presented the awards at a special ceremony last night at the Daventry Leisure Centre.
The winners were:
Sportsman of the Year: Michael Smallwood.
Sportswoman of the Year: Sue Willers.
Junior Sportsman of the Year: Finlay Davies.
Junior Sportswoman of the Year: Georgia Webster.
Team of the Year: Moulton College Men's Basketball team.
Community Club of the Year: World Jado Kuin Do Organisation.
Sports Volunteer of the Year: Sharon Connerty.
Sports Volunteer of the Year: William Pursey.
Sports Volunteer of the Year: Abbey Junior.
Sports Volunteer of the Year: Rob Eddon.
Sports Volunteer of the Year: Lesley Sharp.
