Community Sports Networks

Community Sports Networks (CSN) is an initiative developed to recognise and enhance sport for everyone within their local community.

As an integral component within the Sport England "Delivery System for Sport" the local CSN is a partnership of sports delivery agents, community organisations, clubs, local authorities and individuals with core common objectives of:

• Increasing the number of people taking part in sport and active recreation.

• Increase the number of young people accessing sports specific activities and support their ongoing participation within their local communities and clubs.

• Work with local partners to support sports clubs and organisations to develop their coaches, officials, volunteers and playing programmes.

• Supporting the development of new and innovative programmes to engage and retain people in sport and active recreation.

• Bringing together partners and resources to achieve common goals through sport whilst avoiding duplication.

Northamptonshire has set a target to widen the base and increase numbers of people taking part in sport and active recreation.
