Come Into Coaching

Taking the first steps to becoming a sports coach can sometimes be daunting, and it can be difficult to know what to do or where to go. Come into Coaching has been designed to provide basic information on what is involved next in being a sports coach and how to go about becoming a coach.

The workshop provides potential coaches with the opportunity to find out more about whats involved in coaching and what it takes to become a sports coach.

Following the workshop candidates are provided with further information and sign posted onto other courses, resources and organisations suitable to their own development needs.

The workshop covers the following:

• The role/s of the coach
• What makes a good coach
• What type of coaching methods are used
• What is the next step towards becoming a coach  
• Come into Coaching workshops are 2 hours and are designed to be informal and friendly.

Courses can be run to target the following groups:       

• Sports Clubs
• Community Groups
• Higher / Further Education
• Any organisation seeking to attract more people into coaching
