Coaching Conferences
East Midlands Regional Coaches Conference - Saturday 11 March 2006
The relationship between a coach and his/her performer is right at the heart of effective coaching. Any successful relationship is characterised by a mutual understanding between the two but it is really as simple as one understanding the other.
Clearly, our perspectives on how we see ourselves and how that influences our views of others and our opinions of how others view us, all contribute to the final effect.
With the spotlight being on the coach, there are 3 areas that contribute towards more effective quality coaching:
- The coach understands his/her self
- The coach understanding the characteristics and specific needs of the athlete
- The coach understanding the interactions required and,
- Therefore, enhancing the quality of coaching and the performance of their athlete.
The Keynotes and workshops available at this year's East Midlands Regional Coaches Conference will provide you, the coach, with the opportunity to gain a further understanding of yourself, your athlete and the interactions required to enhance the quality of your coaching.
