Funded by the Department of Transport (DfT), Bikeability is designed to give youngsters the skills and confidence to ride, especially on roads. Formerly called Cycling Proficiency, the programme also aims to sustain participation in cycling activity in England.
Bikeability is delivered in the Wellingborough and East Northants School Sport Partnership through Manor School Sports College, as a School Games Organiser host school. This is the only remaining Bikeability programme hosted by a School Sport Partnership in the County.
The funding from the Department of Transport provides training for young people between School Years 5-9 across Primary and Secondary Schools in the Partnership, to attain Levels 1, 2 and 3 Bikeability awards. All young people completing the training now receive an official Bikeability log book and certificate.
If you would like to request Bikeability training for your Primary School before the end of March 2016 please complete the form below. For further information, please contact Hannah Hore, School Sport Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org
