Wilson does Great North Run
Northamptonshire Sport's Disability Development Officer Graeme Wilson will be heading towards the bright lights of Newcastle this weekend to help raise money for the Disability Sports Events charity, which helps raise sport participation among disabled people with all impairments.
Graeme will be joining 50000 other runners to do the famous Great North Run - the world's most famous half marathon - and he has been training hard over the past 3 months to hit his target time of 1hr 45 and money target of £2000
Graeme said "I've always been a keen sportsman but I wanted a big challenge and help raise money at the same time. It's been great getting out regularly doing the training and I'm really looking forward to the big day itself."
You can still help Graeme to hit his fundraising target by donating online at: http://www.justgiving.com/Graeme-Wilson-GreatNorthRun
After the big event, Graeme will be helping other runners as he mans the water station at Northamptonshire's own big closed road run: 'The Run '10 Northamptonshire' which takes place on 3rd October in Northampton
Runners who are inspired by the Graeme's efforts in the north can still enter The Run online at www.the-run.org.
