U11 Volleyball Comp off to a great start
Eight teams from five primary schools and children members of the Kettering Volleyball Club took part in the first Kettering U11s volleyball competition at Southfields School for girls this Sunday, 4th December.
Every term, four primary schools get the opportunity to play this fast and exciting Olympic sport as teachers deliver some of the sessions whilst others are delivered by Northamptonshire Community Development Coach for Volleyball England.
The winners and runners up win a guaranteed place to compete in the county U11s primary competition as well as the Urban Beach Competition that will take place in July as part of Kettering Borough Council Summer Celebrations in Market place.
The winners of the competition were Loatlands Warriors and runners up - Loatlands Girls.
The tournaments are the result of the work in schools organised by Kettering School Sports Partnership and supported by Volleyball England and Northamptonshire sport.
