NVYA Awards for Young Volunteers

Northamptonshire Voluntary Youth Action (NVYA) are recognising the contribution of young people in the county with the Northamptonshire Young Volunteer of the Year Award.  Awards will be made in three age bands 13-15; 16-19; 20-25 and across seven categories including Sport.

Nominations are still open but close at the end of January so nominate your young volunteers now.

 

Award for Young Volunteer in Sport

This Award will be made to the young volunteer (or team of volunteers) who have clearly gone the extra mile in supporting others to enjoy sports.  This VIP will have made their mark by;

·         enabling and empowering others to take part in and/or to enjoy sports in their local community

·         inspiring them to participate in sport.

 

Each category will have 3 potential winners (one from each age band) who will be given a certificate and small recognition of their achievement.  From these three, a category winner will be selected who will be given a trophy recognising their achievement. 

 

A further selection will take place regarding volunteer of the year.  This volunteer will be selected once all the category Awards have been made and will be the young volunteer who has made the most impact on their community etc. through their volunteering.
