New Football sessions for girls

Girls Football

Mid-shires Girls' Football League are holding some new monthly football sessions for girls aged 6-10 years.

There are not many opportunities for girls to play football with other girls under the age of 10, which has a knock-on effect on the number of girls teams in the area.

So, Midshires Girls League would like to invite girls aged from 6-10 from all over the county to come along and play a bit of football, learn a few skills in the first hour with some fun, and then play some games in the second hour.

Any girl can come along, whether she has never played before, plays at school, plays in a mixed team or a girls club.

Players who are not in teams but are interested in joining a team will be given some help and support with this if they require it.

The first session is at Montsaye School on the artificial pitch in Rothwell on September 17th from 9.45am-11.45am.  All sessions are run by FA qualified coaches with FA CRB checks.

Pre-booking is required. Full details and a downloadable BOOKING FORM is available on the girls league website: www.mid-shiresgirlsleague.co.uk

Each session costs £2 per player, payable on the day.

You do not need to be linked to a club or part of a team - all coaching equipment; qualified coaches (CRB cleared) and referees will be provided, just turn up with shin pads, appropriate footwear and clothing, and refreshments.
