Multi Sports Sessions at Danes Camp
On Saturday 11th February Danes Camp Leisure Centre will be hosting a launch event for their new Multi-sports club for young people with disabilities that's due to start on Monday 5th March 5-6pm.
These initiatives have been planned in conjunction with Northampton Leisure Trust and Northamptonshire Sport. The launch event, which coincides with the 200 day countdown to the start of the Paralympic Games, is from 2-6pm (registration in the crèche from 1:30pm) and open to anyone aged 6+ with any disability and their families!
There will be a variety of hour long sport taster sessions in the sports hall and dance studio that people are welcome to go between including Football, Goalball, Boccia, Volleyball, Wheelchair Basketball and New Age Kurling.To finish the event everyone attending will be given the opportunity to go for an hour of free swimming in the leisure centre's pool from 5-6pm.
Club sessions for young people with a disability aged 6-16 will take place from 5th March on a fortnightly basis during term time only.
