Local Sports Coach Named as Finalist in National Awards
Local coach Andrew Stanley has been named as one of 3 finalists in the category of Young Coach of the Year at the annual National Sports Coach UK awards.
Andrew is 23 years old and from Kettering. Andrew is a Level 2 qualified Cricket Coach but also has a range of level 1 qualifications.
Over the last 12 months Andrew has coached many young people and adults including:
- club senior coach: coaches senior 1st and 2XIs claiming divisional titles in county cricket league.
- Introducing girls cricket at Southfield School – establishing a girls section of the club taking the team to national final
- Boys U13 – won Wilson Browne Corby and District Cricket League and cup. 10 members from squad have gained representative honours at district or county level, all cite Andrew’s coaching as a substantial reason why they have achieved so much.
The National Sports Coach UK awards are taking place at the Dorchester Hotel in London on 17 December.
