Hollowell Sailing Club

For the third year in succession, Hollowell Sailing Club has been shortlisted for the RYA Club of the Year Award 2012, which will be announced at the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace, London on Saturday 3 March.

Hollowell have been hugely successful in engaging the local community and last year attracted 147 new members, boosting total membership to 550

As well as attracting new members Hollowell Sailing Club have continued to develop relationships with the wider community including Schools where they have been involved in RYA OnBoard Sessions. the club's talented youngsters are frequently fed into the RYA's World Class racing programmes.

Last year youngster Freddie Cranfield, who learned to sail through an Onboard course with Guilsborough School at Hollowell SC  was selected for the RYA North Zone Topper squad.
