Halfords Tour Series comes to Kettering

There was a carnival atmosphere in the centre of Kettering this week when a host of cycle events, culminating in the Halfords Tour cycle series, brought crowds out onto the streets.

Kristian House outsprinted long-time breakaway companion Simon Richardson to take victory following one of the most exciting stages of the tour so far, which also saw team Ireland rider Stephen Barrett crash in the closing stages of the race.

As well as being able to watch the professional cyclists speed through the streets at over 40mph, those who brought their own bikes had the unique opportunity to cycle around the closed off 1.6km circuit of the town centre
